Annexation Documents

On November. 23, 1993, at UNITED STATES PUBLIC LAW, 103-150, the United States Congress by Joint Resolution, finally acknowledged the 100th anniversary of the January 17, 1893 unlawful and illegal overthrow of the Kingdom of Hawaii by the United State, and offered an Apology to Native Hawaiians.

The following are documents and things relating to the Annexation of Hawaii by the United States. The Hawaii Resource Library welcomes all contributions to it archives including opinions.

Lorin Thurston Petition Report. In his report Thurston alledged that the anit annexation petition was not signed in its original by its signatories, but instead was a fraud. Clearly the documents speak for their own authenticity and could not have been "copied" from petitions previously submitted to local politicians for other reasons and purposes.
